I'm one of those people that just have "antenna" television. Decided to get with the future and get the digital tv converter box. With the help of the government *coupon* it only cost $13 at Wal-mart.
. Thanks to Brian (briank.glmotorsports.net) and the "nerd" in him, he mocked up an antannae that picks up all the local channels! The best part is that the converter picks up "secret" channels too. Digital tv offers regular WTOL/CBS programming, Regular ABC programinng, 13.2 (HD) 13.3 (Weather) 24.1 & 24.2 (which I found had old episodes of Knight Rider on Sunday nights at 7 (I have them all on DVD so that doesn't matter) but was wondering what else is hidden in between regular programming.
It may not be exciting to others who have 200 channels with cable but I went from 5 channels (11/13/24/30/36 - occassionaly 40/48) to 11 channels (11.1/13.1/13.2/13.3/24.1/24.2/24.3/30.1/30.2/30.3/36.1) Use to get the BG PBS station but I chose the other channels to have better reception (When we moved the antannae to pick up the other channels better we lost 27, but really it's PBS and since I don't give them money I'm stealing from them.
First blog and a very cool day!
